TERÉZIA MELIŠKOVÁ

The second of the two projects done in the Architecture Studio class - house for one person in a specifically set area of 3x9 meters in between two 15m high neighbour buildings. A narrow place like this is a challenge as it sets many restrictions. This project was done with the concept of a built in narration which starts at the busy street and ends with the rooftop garden set on both of the neighbour rooftops. The staircase which is in this case the strongest element creates a gradation between the publicity and urbanism of the city and the more natural approach and privacy of the top floor and rooftop.
